Nick Clancy (Trustee)
Nick Clancy was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago. It is here in Will County where Nick’s foundation of leadership, team building, and entrepreneurship was first formed.
Nick comes from a family of business owners, starting with his parents, and stemming back to his grandfather, (Nick Clancy), who owned and operated four independent grocery stores on Chicago’s south side.
In both sports and academics, Nick excelled far above the status quo quickly emerging as someone who was both capable and willing to lead and serve.
In 2008, Nick headed east for Boston College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communications as well as athletic honors in football (First Team All-ACC, Paul Cavanaugh Award for Defensive MVP, Sports Illustrated All-American Honorable Mention, and the Bulger Lowe award for the best defensive player in New England).
Immediately after college, Nick spent a season in the NFL playing for the Atlanta Falcons.
After his playing career, Nick began his journey as an entrepreneur and pastor, where the call to lead and serve became a full-time vocation.
From 2016-2021 Nick Co-founded two startup companies while living in Phoenix Arizona, preparing the way for his third co-venture, Clancy Brothers Coffee Roasters in 2022 here in Mokena.
Additionally, serving as a teaching pastor for three years, taught Nick that it’s all about people, and that no matter what business you’re in, if it’s not centered on adding value to people’s lives, it’s not worth doing.
The drive and vision to see Mokena be all that it can be and more, improving the lives of its residents, is what motivates Nick to run for Village Trustee.
Here to listen, here to lead, here to serve.
